Welcome to Penny Pedals!
Penny Pedals is a small guitar and bass effect pedal company located in Milford, CT. Not your normal 'boutique' company! I pride myself on unique designs and modifications that are not seen every day, a professional yet fun attitude, and solid custom made guitar pedals that sound, work, and look great.

Take a look around and see what pedal fits you... from the sweet fuzz tones of the LowFuzz, the heavy bass overdrive of the DS-1 Bass Mod, to the unique "wall of tone" distortion that is the Fingerprint by Laura Bennett, there's something for every style and sound.

Check back now and then for new pedals, special one of a kind pieces, updates, sound clips, videos, reviews and more!

New News!

Happy New Year!

First, if you are waiting for a Fingerprint pedal... this is the week! You should be receiving an email very soon. The holidays really took over for a bit but everything is full steam ahaed now! To make up for the extra time I'm giving everyone in the US free shipping. If you're not on the Fingerprint wait list, there will be extra pedals for sale when the list is done. Check the website news for when these hit!

Speaking of Laura Bennett... she's currently working on the newest Penny Pedals design, simply called 'Louder.' It is a cool clean boost pedal, with a 1950's hot rod theme. Loud, raw, mean, cool. The circuit is a little different than most clean boosts; it's an Op-Amp based pedal, with 2 knobs, labeled 'Pre' and 'Post.' Pre sets the input trim, like on an analog mixer. This is great for getting the most clean sound from hot output guitars, or even overdriving it for a bit of fuzz! The Post knob is the master level. There will be no wait list, they will just pop up for sale in about 2 weeks. Make sure to check out the news section for the announcement! Get Louder!

In an effort to be as 'Green' as possible in 2008, Penny Pedals will be making some small changes to the pedal lineup, building process, and packing/shipping. Battery clips for using batteries with our pedals will now be an option; if you require a battery clip please inquire before you purchase. This is simply to avoid filling the earth with dead batteries.

In addition to trying to keep batteries out of the landfills, we will no longer be using aerosol spray for our finishes. What does this mean? On custom orders, it means fewer color options unfortunately, but I feel the trade-off is worth it. Also, for clear coat finishes over the Laura Bennet pedals, no aerosol sprays will be used. So, you may see a tiny bubble or slight imperfection in the finish. Honestly, hardly noticeable unless you really try to see it. The '3-D' aspect of Laura's work is intact, protected and still amazing, and we can all breathe better.

Lastly, all packing material will now be recycled or non-plastic based, including new-old stock vintage cloth wrapping to protect the finish. PDF manuals will eventually be available online so no paper is wasted on print manuals. Hey... every little bit helps, right?

That's it for now... Rock!
